82 Game - Responsible Gaming
82 Game responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.
Play within your limits
Responsible gaming at 82 Game begins before you log in. Decide on a fixed entertainment budget, for example, ₹500 or ₹1,000 per week, and treat that amount the same way you would a cinema ticket or a dinner out: money spent for enjoyment, not money expected back. Fund your account only through disposable income using trusted payment methods such as PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM UPI, so that every deposit is a deliberate, conscious choice rather than an impulse.
Pair a money limit with a time limit. Set a phone alarm for 30 to 60 minutes per session, take a 10-minute break when it rings, and ask yourself honestly whether you are still playing for fun. Avoid gaming late at night, when tired, or after consuming alcohol, impaired judgment leads to larger bets and poorer decisions. If you notice you are consistently playing longer or spending more than you planned, use the account controls described in the sections below immediately rather than waiting.
Warning signs of problem gambling
Problem gambling rarely announces itself. Common behavioural signals include chasing losses (depositing again to "win back" what you lost), hiding your gaming activity from family members, or feeling restless and irritable on days you do not play. Financial red flags include using a PhonePe or GPay credit line to fund deposits, missing EMI payments, or borrowing money from friends specifically to top up your balance.
Emotional signs are equally important: persistent anxiety between sessions, guilt after a losing run, or treating gaming as your main way of coping with stress at work or personal problems at home. If you recognise three or more of these signs, act today, the tools on this page are free, confidential, and take only a few minutes to activate. Early action makes recovery far easier than waiting until the harm becomes severe.
Deposit, loss and time limits
82 Game gives you three types of account limits that you can set, adjust, or tighten at any time from your profile settings. A deposit limit caps the total amount you can add to your account in a rolling 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day window, for example, ₹2,000 per week. A loss limit stops your session automatically once your net losses reach a figure you choose, such as ₹500 in a single day. A session time limit logs you out after a set duration, 30, 60, or 90 minutes, and requires a short cooling period before you can log back in.
Increases to any limit take 72 hours to come into effect, giving you time to reconsider. Reductions, however, apply immediately. We recommend reviewing your limits every month alongside your UPI or bank statement so that your gaming spend stays clearly visible and proportionate to your actual income. Setting these limits proactively is always more effective than trying to exercise willpower in the moment.
Self-exclusion and cool-off
If you need a stronger break, 82 Game offers two escalating options. A cool-off period temporarily suspends your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cool-off you cannot log in, deposit, or place bets, but your account and balance remain intact for when you return. A self-exclusion is a longer-term measure, minimum 6 months, up to 5 years, that fully closes your account and blocks you from reopening it during the chosen period.
To activate either option, go to My Account → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion and follow the on-screen steps; the block takes effect within one hour. We will also unsubscribe you from all promotional emails and push notifications for the duration. If you attempt to create a new account while excluded, it will be closed and any deposits refunded. Self-exclusion is a recognised best practice recommended by counsellors at iCall and Vandrevala Foundation, two of India's leading mental-health support services.
